Volkswagen Golf Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing turn signal switch -E2-, Valeo

  Note
The turn signal switch -E2-, cruise control system switch -E45- and intermittent wiper switch -E22- are combined to form the steering column combination switch -E595-.
These switches cannot be separated.
If one of the switches is defective, the steering column combination switch -E595- must be renewed as a complete unit.
Removing
–  Remove steering column electronics control unit -J527- → Chapter.
   

Removing and installing turn signal switch -E2-, Valeo

–  Press release button -1- on each side in direction of arrow -A-.
–  Pull off steering column combination switch -E595--2- slightly.
–  Release retaining tab -3- in direction of arrow -B-.
–  Pull off steering column combination switch -E595--2-.

 
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence.
