Front backrest, standard seat, seat of type "ergo Aktiv"

Note

The illustration shows the driver seat backrest. The front passenger seat backrest is similar (mirror image of driver seat backrest).

The illustration shows the front seat backrest for LHD vehicles. The front seat backrest for RHD vehicles is similar (mirror image of front seat backrest for LHD vehicles).

Removing and installing → Chapter
Must be properly engaged in head restraint guides

Cover

Removing and installing → Chapter

Backrest

Removing and installing → Chapter
Removing and installing backrest cover and padding → Chapter
Separating backrest cover from backrest padding → Chapter
Depending on vehicle equipment, with electric lumbar support adjustment → Anchor

5 -	Left head restraint guide

Removing and installing → Chapter

6 -	Backrest release mechanism

On 2-door models
Removing and installing trim for backrest release mechanism → Chapter.
Removing and installing backrest release mechanism → Chapter
Removing and installing mounting bracket for backrest release mechanism → Chapter.

Lever

For manual lumbar support adjustment
Removing and installing → Chapter

8 -	Adjustment knob

For manual backrest adjustment.
On vehicles with front passenger seat with through-loading function, the adjustment and release lever is fitted instead of the adjustment knob.
Depends on equipment
Removing and installing → Chapter

9 -

Bolt

Qty. 4
Self-locking
Renew after removal
Clean threaded holes for bolts with, for example, a thread tap
34 Nm

Seat pan

Front backrest, electrically adjustable seat

Note
