- After purging refrigerant circuit of contaminants, e.g. due to moisture intrusion (because refrigerant circuit has stood open for a length of time) or due to dirt
- Without needing to purge refrigerant circuit of contaminants (e.g. damage in an accident); no refrigerant has escaped and no moisture or dirt has entered refrigerant circuit
