| Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331- |
|
|
|
| Torque wrench -V.A.G 1332- |
|

|

With ignition switched off, disconnect earth cable from
battery -A-
→ Chapter. |
| – |
Remove noise insulation
→ General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.66. |
| – |
Remove air filter housing
→ Rep. gr.23. |
| Continued for all vehicles |
|
|
|
| – |
Disconnect electrical connector -1-. |
| – |
Unscrew nut -3- and remove
terminal 30/B+. |
|
|
|
| – |
If fitted, unscrew nut -1- from
upper securing bolt of starter -B-. |
| – |
If fitted, remove earth cable -2-. |
|
|
|
| – |
If fitted, unscrew nut -1- from
lower securing bolt of starter -B-. |
| – |
If fitted, remove earth cable -2-. |
|
|
|
| – |
Unscrew nut -4- and remove
retainer -1- for wiring harness. |
Note
| The electrical wiring remains connected. |
| – |
Remove bolts -2- and
-5- from starter -B--3-. |
| – |
Remove starter -B--3-
downwards. |
| Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the
following: |
| → Chapter „Assembly overview - starter“ |

Reconnect battery -A-
→ Chapter. |
