Removing

Gearbox is installed.

–	Remove cover for parking lock -1- → Chapter.

Removing and installing parking lock

–	Remove bolts -2- and pull parking lock -1- off dowel sleeves -arrows-.

If parking lock cannot be removed by hand:

–	Apply multi-purpose tool -VW 771- with extractor tool -VW 771/37- behind parking lock and remove parking lock by pulling on alternate sides.

–	Always renew bolts -2-.

Installing

–	Fit parking lock -1- onto dowel sleeves -arrows-.

–	Screw in new bolts -2-, specified torque 20 Nm + 90° further.

–	Install cover for parking lock -1- → Chapter.
