Torque wrench -V.A.G 1783- |

Remove glass panel
→ Chapter. |
| – |
If drive is defective, remove glass panel
→ Chapter. |
| – |
Pull self-adhesive insulation -3- off. |
| – |
Pull out cover upwards at an angle -arrows-. |
 WARNING
| Remove or install drive for panorama tilting
sunroof glass panel only when sunroof is closed ("0" position ). |
| The requirements for removing and installing drive
are: Engine not running and ignition off, key not in ignition
and door open. |

Switch engine and ignition off, remove key and open door. |

This situation must be maintained until drive has been installed. |

Remove bolts -4- and pull off drive for
panorama tilting roof -1-. |
| – |
Detach drive connector -5-. |
Note
| The bolts for the drive are microencapsulated and must always be
renewed. |

Plug in connector -5- at drive
-1-. |
| – |
Check that the clips -2- are correctly
seated. |
| – |
Attach drive -1- and tighten bolts
-4-. |
| – |
After installation, the key can be inserted in ignition and starter
switch again. |

Then test for proper function. |
| – |
Push cover onto assembly frame. |
| – |
Attach self-adhesive insulation -3-. |

Seam seals made during repair work must be identical in
appearance and thickness to the original seam seals.
To avoid damage or faulty operation, brush seam seals smooth
near attachments which must be attached.
