Volkswagen Golf Service & Repair Manual: Connections to valves for switches in the refrigerant circuit
WARNING
Danger of freezing injuries. |
If refrigerant circuit has not been evacuated,
refrigerant will escape. |
The refrigerant must be extracted before the valve
-C- is removed. If the
refrigerant circuit is not opened within 10 minutes
after it has been evacuated, pressure may develop in
coolant circuit due to re-evaporation. Extract
refrigerant again. |
|
The switches on the high-pressure and low-pressure sides
have different threads. |
|
|
|
Use only valves and O-rings that are resistant to
refrigerant R134a and its associated refrigerant oils. |

Danger to life due to high voltage
The high-voltage system is under high voltage. If high-voltage
components are damaged, there is a risk of severe or fatal injury due to
electric shock.

Perform visual check of high-voltage components and high-v ...
Checking shock absorbers when removed
Defective shock absorbers can be identified by loud rumbling
noises when driving, caused by wheel hopping, especially on bad
roads. Heavy fluid leakage is an additional visual indication.
Note
Shock absorbers are maintenance-fre ...
