Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331 |

Remove bench seat
→ Chapter. |

Remove rear right belt buckle with belt end fitting
→ Chapter. |

Pull cover -1- off centre mount

Separate Bowden cable for backrest release mechanism on left
and right

Remove carrier for centre luggage compartment floor lining
→ Chapter. |

| For reasons of clarity, the left rear seat backrest (1/3) is
not shown. |

Equipment version with through-loading aperture: Open lid
for through-loading aperture and fold it down. |

Fold up locking bar -1- at rear
-arrow A-, detach it at front from
centre mount -arrow B- and remove
it. |
Note
| For reasons of clarity, the left rear seat backrest (1/3) is
not shown. |

Lift rear seat backrest -2- out
of centre mount -3- and pull it
towards centre of vehicle out of outer mountings

Remove rear bench seat from vehicle. |

Push rear seat backrest -2- in
vertical position onto outer support pin

Position rear seat backrest -2-
in centre mount -3-. |
| Further installation is performed in the reverse order of
