Volkswagen Golf Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing key-operated switch to deactivate front
passenger airbag

Remove side dash panel cover
→ Chapter. |

Press locking detent -1- in
-direction of arrow- until
connector disengages. |

Pull off connector -2-. |
| – |
Release retaining springs -3-
and -5-. |
| – |
Push key operated switch to deactivate front passenger side
airbag -E224--item 4- out of
housing for key operated switch. |
| Install in reverse order, but note the following: |

Ensure that the electrical connectors are pushed
fully onto stop and engage audibly. |

Ensure that no wires are trapped. |

Ensure that key operated switch to deactivate front
passenger side airbag -E224- audibly engages in housing. |
