Removing
–  Switch off ignition.
   
–  Remove side dash panel cover → Chapter.
–  Press locking detent -1- in -direction of arrow- until connector disengages.
–  Pull off connector -2-.
–  Release retaining springs -3- and -5-.
–  Push key operated switch to deactivate front passenger side airbag -E224--item 4- out of housing for key operated switch.
Installing
Install in reverse order, but note the following:
  Note
  •   Ensure that the electrical connectors are pushed fully onto stop and engage audibly.
  •   Ensure that no wires are trapped.
–  Ensure that key operated switch to deactivate front passenger side airbag -E224- audibly engages in housing.
Specified torques
  → Chapter „Assembly overview - glove compartment“
