Removing
–  If possible, move front seat to highest position to reduce as much tension on torsion rod as possible.
–  Remove front seat → Chapter.
–  Remove front belt buckle → Chapter.
–  Disconnect connector on seat longitudinal adjustment motor.
–  Unclip wire from lower seat pan frame and lay it to one side.
   
 
  Caution
Risk of damage to threaded holes or bushes in the bearing locations (threaded connection of upper and lower seat pan frame).
  •   Bolt -3- has a left-hand thread.
  •   In order to unscrew the bolts mentioned below a second mechanic must slightly press down the seat via the backrest.
–  Remove bolt -3-.
–  Remove bolts -2-.
–  Remove seat pan -1- from lower frame -4-.

  Caution
Risk of damage to bushes -1- in the bearing locations -2- (threaded connection of lower frame and seat pan).
  The bushes cannot be replaced using workshop equipment.
  If the bushes are damaged, renew lower seat pan frame.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
