  Note
Leave the holders in the vehicle on removing the heater and air conditioning unit. The illustration shows a left-hand drive vehicle.
   
Removing
–  Remove heater and air conditioner unit → Chapter.
–  Disconnect electrical connector -1-.
–  Fold aside the heat shield -2- behind the ABS unit.
–  Unscrew nuts -3- and -5-.
–  Detach the holder -4- in the passenger compartment.
  Note
The refrigerant pipe with the internal heat exchanger must be removed if the nut above the ABS unit is not accessible as described → Chapter.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following:
–  Insert holders -1- and -3- into mounting on heater and air conditioning unit -2- and place heater and air conditioning unit in installation position.
–  Install heater and air conditioning unit → Chapter.

–  Tighten nuts -3- and -5- on holders.
–  Install remaining components.
–  Read event memory, and clear any entries displayed vehicle diagnostic tester in “Guided fault finding” mode.
–  As a final step, check operation of the heater/air conditioner.
Specified torques:
