Volkswagen Golf Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing dash panel insert trim

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removing
–  Remove side vent on driver side → Chapter.
–  Release centre vent (do not remove it completely) → Chapter.
–  Release gap cover in area of dash panel insert trim, but do not remove it completely → Chapter.
–  Unclip dash panel insert trim -1- from dash panel using removal wedge -3409-.
–  Remove dash panel insert trim -1- from dash panel insert -2-.
Installing
  Note
Before installing, check all fasteners for damage and renew if necessary.
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
