Removing and installing wiper motor -V-

Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-

Note

If the wiper motor -V- with the wiper motor control unit -J400- is to be renewed, start the respective function → Vehicle diagnostic tester.

The removal and installation procedures are described for LHD vehicles. Removal and installation for RHD vehicles are similar.

Removing

–	Removing wiper arms → Chapter.

–	Remove left plenum chamber cover → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50.

Removing and installing wiper motor -V-

–	Remove bolts -1, 3, 4-.

–	Disconnect electrical connector -5-.

–	If fitted, disconnect connector for damper control.

–	Take wiper frame -2- with linkage and wiper motor out of plenum chamber.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:

–	Adjust wiper arms → Chapter.
