Checking valve guides

Test procedure
–  Insert valve in guide. Valve stem end must be flush with guide. Due to the differing stem diameters, only use inlet valves with inlet valve guides and exhaust valves with exhaust valve guides.
–  Determine rock.
Wear limit: 0.5 mm.
–  If the wear limit is exceeded, repeat the measurement with new valves.
–  Renew cylinder head if wear limit is still exceeded.
  Note
Valve guides cannot be exchanged.
