Contact corrosion

Contact corrosion can occur if unsuitable fastening elements (screws, bolts, nuts, washers) are used.

For this reason, only connecting elements with a special surface coating have been fitted.

In addition, rubber, plastic and adhesives are made of non-conductive materials.

In case of doubt about the reusability of parts renew them → Electronic Parts Catalogue.

Please note:

It is recommended to use genuine parts which are tested and compatible with aluminium.
The use of VW parts is recommended.
Damage due to contact corrosion is not covered by the warranty.

Routing and securing wires

If hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical lines are disconnected or removed and installed, make corresponding drawings or photos. This guarantees installation in the original position.
