Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
Offset screwdriver for slotted-head screws -VAS 6416-
 

Removing and installing voltage regulator, manufacturer: Bosch

Torque screwdriver -V.A.G 1624-
Removing
–  Remove alternator -C- → Chapter.
 

Removing and installing voltage regulator, manufacturer: Bosch

–  Using offset screwdriver for slotted-head screws -VAS 6416-, carefully lever off protective cap -1- at fasteners -arrows-.
 

Removing and installing voltage regulator, manufacturer: Bosch

–  Remove bolts -arrows- for voltage regulator -C1-.
–  Remove voltage regulator -C1- from alternator -C-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Specified torques
Component Specified torque
Bolts for voltage regulator -C1- 2 Nm
