Volkswagen Golf Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing side defroster vent

Removal and installation is described for the side defroster vent on driver side. Follow same instructions for the front passenger side as appropriate.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
   

Removal wedge -3409
Removal wedge -3409

Removing
–  Lever defroster vent -1- upwards out of assembly aperture in dash panel using removal wedge -3409- and remove it.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
