Volkswagen Golf Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing footwell vent temperature sender -G192

Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
Removal wedge -3409-
Vehicle diagnostic tester
Removing
  Note
Only on vehicles with Climatronic. On vehicles with heater or air conditioning system with electric/manual controls, the apertures in the air ducts are sealed with plugs.
–  Remove footwell vent on driver side → Chapter.
  Removing and installing footwell vent temperature sender -G192
–  Slightly lift footwell vent temperature sender -G192--2-.
–  Release retaining tabs -arrows- using removal wedge -3409-.
–  Pull out footwell vent temperature sender -G192--2- upwards.
–  Disconnect electrical connector -1-.
Installing
–  Install in reverse order.
