Removing
–  Remove front seat → Chapter.
–  Secure front seat on seat repair stand → Chapter.
–  Move front seat to highest position.
–  Remove seat trim on tunnel side → Chapter.
–  Turn adjustment knob of backrest adjustment towards front as far as stop.
   
–  Detach cable support bracket -2- of Bowden cable B from retainer for entry assistance on seat pan.
–  Detach eye -1- of Bowden cable B for entry assistance from pin of seat longitudinal adjustment.
 

Removing and installing Bowden cable B for entry assistance

–  Detach cable support bracket -1- of Bowden cable B from backrest fitting. To do this, release catch -arrow-.
–  Detach eye -2- of Bowden cable B for entry assistance from pin of backrest fitting using a screwdriver and remove it.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Specified torques
  → Chapter „Assembly overview - front seat“
