| Contact corrosion can occur if unsuitable fasteners (bolts,
nuts, washers, etc.) are used. |
| Therefore, only fastening elements with a special surface
coating are installed in the vehicle. |
| In addition, rubber and plastic parts as well as adhesives
are made of electrically non-conductive materials. |
| If there is any doubt about the suitability of parts, a
general rule is to use new parts
→ Electronic Parts Catalogue. |
| Please observe the following: |
| Use only Genuine replacement parts which are tested and
compatible with aluminium. |
| Use only Volkswagen Genuine Accessories. |
| Damage due to contact corrosion is not covered by warranty. |
