Special tools and workshop equipment required

Assembly tool -T10478 B-

Removing

–	Detach toothed belt from camshafts → Chapter.

Removing and installing inlet camshaft oil seal, pulley end, engine codes CPTA, CHPA, CZEA, CZDA

–	Unscrew bolt -2- and remove camshaft sprocket.

Removing and installing inlet camshaft oil seal, pulley end, engine codes CPTA, CHPA, CZEA, CZDA

–	Remove seal -1- using extractor hook -T20143/1-.

Installing

Note

Do not lubricate new seal.

Removing and installing inlet camshaft oil seal, pulley end, engine codes CPTA, CHPA, CZEA, CZDA

–	Fit seal -1- over fitting sleeve -T10478/3- onto guide sleeve -T10478/2-.

Installation position: closed end of seal faces fitting sleeve.

–	Separate fitting sleeve and guide sleeve.

Removing and installing inlet camshaft oil seal, pulley end, engine codes CPTA, CHPA, CZEA, CZDA

–	Fit guide sleeve -T10478/2- with oil seal -1- onto camshaft.

Removing and installing inlet camshaft oil seal, pulley end, engine codes CPTA, CHPA, CZEA, CZDA

–	Draw in seal to stop using thrust piece -T10478/1A- and bolt -1- for camshaft pulley.

–	Install toothed belt (adjust valve timing) → Chapter.
